# Understanding PNGVN

A dividend-paying security token backed by an index fund, are digital tokens issued on the blockchain network, representing fractional ownership in an index fund portfolio. These tokens entitle holders to quarterly dividend distributions derived from the income generated by the [GNG Community](/introducing-pngvn/perfect-synergy-concept.md#gng-community-gng) and the underlying proposition of the assets in the index fund. At the heart of our ecosystem lies the PNGVN Token – a revolutionary digital asset designed to democratise investment and reward distribution.
